Alpha Accident Repairs held a Mercedes-Benz cruise day on Saturday 20th September. The Mercedes-Benz classics that attended the full day cruise were models ranging from the early 6.3's, 3.5's and 6.9's. There was also a good representation of late model Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts travelled from interstate as well as locally to attend the cruise. Members from the M100 Group Australia drove their classic Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3's from interstate included Arthur Love and his wife Cheryl travelling all the way down from Brisbane. Anthony and Karen Long with their family and Martin Lutge also made the road trip down from Sydney. The meeting point was at Lindsey Fox Classic Car Collection car park in Docklands. After a tour of the Lindsey Fox collection and allocation of the Alpha Accident Repairs Mercedes-Benz Cruise Packs, the brigade departed Docklands and headed for the hills with the first stop at the Sky High Observatory in Mount Dandenong. After a quick coffee break and enjoying the views of the city, the cruise travelled down Eastlink and Peninsula Freeway towards the sandy beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, stopping in Mornington for a delicious lunch at Kirks on the Esplanade. After lunch the cruise headed to the final destination at Arthurs Seat Summit Lookout (only appropriate since a member of M100 Group Australia who attended the cruise name is Arthur). Alpha Accident Repairs Managing Director, Matthew Scott, said it was an enjoyable day had by all and I definitely believe this will be an annual event held by our company. I thank all those who made the effort to attend the day and in particular a special thanks to those who travelled long distances. "We even hired a professional photographer Clarence Tang from Tangcla Photography to capture photographs of the cars throughout the day, to ensure it was a day to remember by all who attended," Matthew said. |
